Stores Person

Are you an experienced Stores Person with a valid Counterbalance Forklift licence? We have a fantastic opportunity available at a busy depot based in Andover, offering a steady Monday–Friday schedule (8am–5pm), with no weekend work or overtime required.

 

In this depot-based role as a Stores Person, you’ll take ownership of the goods-in and stores process, managing stock movements, handling deliveries, and ensuring materials are booked in, recorded, and distributed efficiently. You’ll also be responsible for regular stock checks, managing consumables, and preparing outbound items — so organisation and attention to detail are key!

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a Stores Person who’s confident working with stock control software, who thrives in a structured, hands-on warehouse environment.

 

What you’ll be doing:

• Checking, receiving, and processing all inbound deliveries
• Booking stock into systems and ensuring accurate records
• Performing stock takes for consumables and spare parts
• Packaging returns and outbound items
• Managing internal stock movements and liaising with other depots
• Ordering and consolidating depot supplies and consumables
• Maintaining the depot’s waste management and H&S practices
• Communicating with suppliers and reporting to depot and supply chain managers

 

What we’re looking for:

Essential:

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (in-date)
• Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment
• Proficiency with stock management and Microsoft Office software
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
• Physically fit and comfortable handling manual labour tasks
• Knowledge of COSHH and health & safety practices

 

Desirable:

• Experience with HVAC parts or engineering stock

 

The package:

• Salary: £26,000 – £28,000
• 25 days holiday + bank holidays
