What the Full Stack Developer Will Do:

 

As a Full Stack Developer, you’ll work closely with engineers, product teams and stakeholders to design, build and maintain modern software solutions. You’ll contribute across the full development lifecycle, helping to create scalable, reliable systems used by organisations across the UK.

 

  • Design, build and maintain applications using TypeScript or JavaScript

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager (Industrial or Commercial Refrigeration experience required) to oversee the installation and modification of industrial refrigeration systems for our client on their major customer sites. This position will suit a hands-on engineer who has moved into site supervision or project delivery and enjoys leading works on site, coordinating contractors, and ensuring safe, compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities as Site Manager:

  • Manage day-to-day site operations to maintain a safe, organised and professional working environment
  • Coordinate and direct subcontractors and internal personnel carrying out mechanical and electrical installation works
  • Ensure all site documentation is current and compliant, including RAMS, permits and Safe Systems of Work
  • Distribute and verify engineering drawings, specifications and layouts, ensuring all work is carried out to latest revisions
  • Liaise with main contractors and end users to plan works, monitor progress and maintain programme
  • Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of refrigeration, chiller and associated plant
  • Conduct site safety audits and close out actions in a timely manner
  • Carry out occasional hands-on tasks such as pressure testing, glycol draining, evacuation and charging activities as required

What We’re Looking for in a Site Manager:

  • Strong background in industrial refrigeration, chiller or large mechanical plant installation (other Refrigeration industries considered)
  • Ability to plan and coordinate work on active sites
  • Confident communication and the ability to represent the contractor professionally
  • Knowledge of H&S and CDM requirements
  • Experience overseeing mechanical/electrical installation teams
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home when required
  • SMSTS qualification preferred

Location of Site Managers:

  • Ideally Southwest / Exeter, however, open to candidates across the UK (must be willing to work away)

This role can be offered as:

  • Permanent position with excellent benefits including 25 days holiday, healthcare, salary sacrifice pension and more!
  • Contract role, day rate: £250–£300 per day (depending on experience) covering December 2025 – June/July 2026

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, de-installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of rental fleet equipment.

Essential personal skills as Rental Engineer

Experience & Qualifications as Rental Engineer

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar HVAC or chiller service role
  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship (mechanical and basic electrical competencies required)
  • Ideally qualified F-Gas and or hydrocarbon engineer with strong controls and electrical fault-finding knowledge
